34000 Litre Nexus320+ Koi Filter Kit
The Evolution Aqua 34000 Litre Nexus320+ Koi Filter Kit is a complete filtration system for koi ponds up to 34,000 litres. It includes the award winning Nexus320+ pond filter with outer moving bed and inner vortex chambers, along with perfectly paired UV clarifier, filter pump, and air pump.
The Nexus320+ is simple and cost-effective to run, requiring just one filter pump to recirculate the water and one air pump for the moving bed, plus a UV clarifier to sterilize your water and prevent green water. All of which is included in the 34000 Litre Nexus320+ Koi Filter Kit.
Water enters the inner chamber of the Nexus320+ via an inlet. The inner chamber functions as a vortex causing larger solids to settle out. Water then passes through the stainless steel ‘Eazy’ which contains K1 Micro Media that harvests finer waste particles. The Eazy is cleaned by diverting the air from the outer chamber using the air valves, and waste discharged by opening the larger waste ball valve.
Water next flows into the outer chamber, where biological filtration takes place. The outer chamber contains hundreds of K1+ Media. These small plastic media have a high surface area to maximize the number of filter bacteria they can support. The bacteria perform an essential role in breaking down organic waste that is harmful to your fish. Aeration causes the K1+ Media to continually turn over, creating a ‘moving bed’. The aeration provides oxygen to the bacteria helping them thrive, and the action of the air bubbles agitates the media helping to ‘slough off ‘ dead colonies – ensuring optimal colonisation by living micro-organisms.
It can be installed as either a pump fed or gravity fed system (see instruction manual below). It can also be upgraded with the Nexus Automatic Cleaning System (supplied separately) for automatic cleaning cycles (comes supplied with the factory fitted fixings already in place for easy installation).
